Visual Studio "Live"

Recently, Microsoft has started thinking aloud about a new service that would host Visual Studio Team System.  I wish I had thought of it!  If done appropriately, I believe this could be beneficial for a variety of development team scenarios - especially distributed teams.  I hope they consider what services that could be added to this.  Imagine the following scenarios:

  • I would like a consulting resource to do a security review of my newly developed application.

  • I want to pay a testing company to do a real set of testing and send me the results.

  • I want Conchango to implement Scrum in my VSTS project and teach me how remotely.

  • I want a consultant to work on a specific coding task in my .NET application - and he's 1 million miles away.

  • I want my application to go through the ISV certification process.

  • I'm building an open source application and would want others not part of my company to work on the project.

  • I work in a small development shop with very limited resources and has several international offices.

  • etc

  • etc

  • etc
